Default Burning my clutch already?

I just got my stage III xtd clutch in a few weeks ago and i havn't even been beating it down that hard, maybe shifting at 6000 rpms once or twice a day and i launch at 3000 rpms, why does it smell like my clutch is burning??? just started doing ironicly right after my rotor, brake and oil change...

how many miles have u put on it so far? 6000rpm once or twice a day...ur not even suppose to go once or twice during the break in. and launching at 3000...hopefully it's not during the break in period.

Then don't complain, or drive like a dick if you can't afford it.

1000 highway or city? Anyways, people act like dicks because they hate ricers or people who street race and cause lawmakers to act hard and crack down on enthusiasts who actually mod their car and use it on the track.

My advice dont launch so hard on the street and you wont get that burnt smell. Inspect your brakes and your oil. Then come back and tell us what you see or smell

about 400 highway, I just changed the brakes a rotors, it smells sweet but sickning...some one told me it was my clutch burning. Smelt like it was from when i had my 15 yr old oem one in and my friend tried to burn out and jut burnt the clutch. I launch at 3k when i "race" but that is not often.

Inspect your brakes like others have said. And next time you get a clutch try and give it a long break in period without the 6k shifts.

check your brakes...one might be seized or stuck, i had a weird clutch burning smeel and i could figure out what it was...and ome to find out it was one of my rear calipers got stuck and fried the fluid and my brakes went out. i flushed the system and bleed the system and alls better.

riding the clutch is bad, it wears the disc fast. i dont ride mine and i get smooth engagements all the time....maybe you need alil more practice?lol the only time i feather is when i race.

think of it like brake pads. well a clutch wears regardless, they are a wear part...when you smeel it means that you are heating it up and it can glaze.

Nah man that clutch aint worth it. I had that same clutch in my R and it lasted me 1600 miles. When I pulled down my tranny for the 2nd time. It was fallen apart, 20 pieces fell to the floor. That XTD is a pos. I do not recommend.
