here i will help out a bit since apparently i never do.
IMO for the money i would go with a B20 bottom end due to it's displacement and the GSR head because of it's ability to flow quite well. Upgrade to a Skunk2 manifold and get some mild head work done along with the necessary things such as timing belt water pump headgaket arp head studs and a nice lsvtec kit. SMSP header, whatever intake you prefer along with whatever exhaust suits you. Pretty mild setup that will pull quite well, I would be happy with it.
Sorry i couldn't elaborate more but i have to be up in 6 hours for school. Goodnight and sorry for not realizing Dustin was still a mod, last i spoke with him he wasn't but i guess i was wrong. I do see tom here a lot still but it just seems the the questions get worse day to day. Like how to use carb cleaner and where do i buy this and stupid **** like that. Maybe im just in a shitty mood and will come back tomorrow and be ok. Looking back on the thread, doesnt look like anybody did anything

Define this "pull" your speak of? Are you talking about torque? Are you talking about longer revs? What exactly are you talking about?
Both motors can do the same or better then the other depending on how its build. You do know LS/VTEC and B20/VTEC have to be made right? They dont come stock.
