strange smell at high rev?
Hey
A few of my mates recon when they are driving behind me when i am driving hard they can smell some wierd ****, and it blowes a bit of white darb, it is a b18c2 with extractors and pod, has anyone else had these problems with their integra. If so is there anything i can do to stop it, some people think it is the fuel, i use 98 octane shell optimax, and i dunno if i should be using differnt fuel, any ideas??

what are extractors and pod? It could be fuel, but fuel wouldn't really be white, and you can only usually see fuel come out the back when you suddenly floor the gas. If you could tell us a specific smell, we might be able to help you, mate
98 octanr, what's that runing you nowadays? Does your Integra need 98?

nah i dont ay, my friends are not very specific, they recon it smell like clutch, but its blowing darb, they just said its smells really bad, they like putting my car down, prob because its faster lol. i will get someone else to drive it this arvo and i will follow so i can smell it , i will post again tonight.
extractors means manifold, and pod is for pod filter, after market K&N. yeah i am from australia so yeah dont mind my slang. yeah i dunno what fuel i am meant to use but 98 octane is the highest i can get in australia, i dunno if its to high, but dont the japs run their engines on like 100+ octane, i dunno. but my car runs better on 98 rather than 95.

Did you remove your cat converter? Do you have a fuel pressure regulator with the pressure turned up. A test pipe, high test fuel, and a rich condition probably stinks abit when you hit vtec.
You don't really need that high test fuel, 91 octane would be fine, unless you have upped your compression or your timing is advanced like crazy.
Oh, what is 'white darb', is that smoke?

nah i didnt remove my cat but it is vibrating like a bitch at low revs, nah i hvnt touched any computers or anything like that, it is stock with manifold 4-1 and k&N pod filter. yeah it is smoke , what else could it be??
