Is my main relay slowly taking a ****?

Sometimes when I get in to start the car. Ill turn the key to the 2nd click (to let the fuel pump prime) and go to start ...theres a click and everything goes dead. No power to ANYTHING. (lights, car doesnt turn over, alarm doesnt work etc etc).

At first I could just pop the 15A fuse under the hood(For F/I). and hop back in and it woudl fire up.

But today it was being a real bitch. I would pop the fuse in and out and go to try and start it and it would just keeping cutting out. (wouldnt turn over..power woudl just die).

On one attempt I left the key to the 2nd postion ...and eventually the power turned on by itself. hrmm.(i heard the click and the beeps went like normal)

Once started I went out for pizza and it was good to go starting again. Most of the time it starts no probs. Its just this random **** thats having me worried as it is getting more frequent.

Main relay or something else?

Car is 00 Si with 92k miles on it.

I thought it could be my ITR ecu with the immobilizer removed but ive been running it for over a year with no issues .

check the starter solinoid... the lil wire that plugs into the starter

 

for sure!

but will that cause the car to completely loose all electrical power? (the battery is fine btw)

ok, so my car is in the driveway and wont start.

same issues. i was driving earlier today just fine.

anyone have a clue? im leaning towards my alarm now, but still am unsure. anyways to check/disable the alarm to see if that helps. ....

edit: that last question sounds a little suspect. ahahhaa
