For cars that don't have a lot of options for engine managment this is a great tool!! But for us hondas we have A LOT of options compared to others. Even free ones. Here's a list:

Uberdata
Crome
Turboedit
Hondata s-100/200/300
Greddy E-manage
AEM EMS
There's more I'm sure I'm missing the little ones

I'd personally go for the VEMS/MSAVR stuff - quite considerably more advanced. http://www.vems-group.org

yeah neon guys use megasquirt. hondas have so many option using the stock ECU/sensors its not worth the money or trouble. like someone else said its grat for cars that have little to no options for engine managment.

good thing about MS is it can be used as a full standalone and its cheap. you can buy a pretty much fully assembled unit that only needs to be wired to the engine for like $400.

I think it has 12 X 12 ignition tables.

It has had extra features. It is fully programable and I think scriptable like uberdata is. I was going to use it on my RX7 project that got haulted. It is a very nice system and has some good support at http://www.msefi.com

The extra features are like the squirt and spark versions. Also they have the new boards out, it is very appealing to older cars that need fuel control. It can also handle MANY versions of spark control too.

newer cars usually just use it for the fuel control and use the stock ecu to control the timing.

I skimmed the forum, and saw a b16 crx...12x12 maps *gasp*. I feel kinda sorry for him, maybe he never heard of uber, chrome, or turboedit. $459 is roughly what RTP Neptune will cost, and I won't bother to list points of compairison.

IIRC, MegaSquirt is what the Boostang used - the ~'00 body style boosted Mustang GT. I think I always liked their vids since they never hated on the rice boys.

i ran one on my turbo toyota desert truck thing. it worked pretty well, better than the OEM carbs on the basemap alone! the motor would fire right up, warm or cold and ran really well once i slightly touched up the fuel maps

Actually, I have a MS with 12x12 fuel and spark tables. It is an amazing standalone for the price!

My brother in law Fuel injected a ford flathead w/it, it starts right up and purrs like a kitten. I also see on 1320 that they have a turbo'd jetski running on it. Megasquirt is pretty nice, a good option for those who have no other options
