Exhaust Silencing
hey, got a full tsudo exhaust on my 98 prelude, i like it a lot, only problem is it's actually too loud. i put the packaged silencer on it and it helps, but only slightly, i wanna keep it sounding sporty and low-pitched, but not constantly overly-loud and annoying, if anyone has any ideas on how to silence it down a bit with out replacing it or spending a ton of $$$ it'd be quite a help. thnx.
about the resonator, i'm not 100% sure, i'll def. check into it, do you know if it's possible to get a better silencer or if there's more of a universal part that would help with it besides just a factory silencer?
o, btw, BB6, i'm thinking of getting my white prelude painted a diamond or pearl white in the spring, i was wondering if you had any pix of it and how much you like it. thnx.
If it's a straight through exhaust (not chambered), it's probably going to be really loud no matter what you do. I have a 3" straight through WS2 and it's fairly quiet and deep with my turbo on, but if I take the turbo off, it sounds like a giant fart can - even with a silencer and a 26" long resonator.
If you're still running a cat, that will help as well. But if it still drives you crazy, you might want to look into a different muffler like the N/A Apexi WS2.. or go turbo
