Awesome deal.

I just went through a set of 15's in 40 runs and paid $114 a tire. I thought that was a deal but damn.

Huh? I've never heard of stock steelies for the ITR, and I don't see 225/50-15 listed among the sizes for the A3S04.

Must have been a pricing error... Probably got fixed the moment someone bought the first set...

225s have been installed on 6" wide wheels for autoX use for over 6 years.
I don't see the problem

They are not "perfect" fit, but that is a different story.

P.S. The 225/45/17 are sold out

Same here, although not for 6 years

Its not a different "story", its the same damn "story". IMO I would never mount a 225 on anything less than a 7" wide wheel. Then again I dont like a loose *** feel and my feedback to be splashy and turn in response to be delayed nor do I race in parking lots.

The title of the thread is "Cheap Hoosier A3S04's" which are the race-in-parking-lot compound.

225 is the competitive width for tires in autocross on stock rims. It does indeed numb the steering a bit.
