Eibach Sportline on a 4th gen fits a 5th gen?
Sup guys,
I am about to buy these used Eibach Sportline from this guy, he took it off his 1993 Prelude, but he said it will definitely fit my 1998. Is this true?
I search on Eibach.com but no luck.
Thank for the time.

Some people say you can use stock shocks, but that doesn't mean it's recommended. It might last anywhere from 1 to 10 months or whenever. The point is that you're supposed to have after market shocks and if you choose not to buy them you just do it at your own risk.
Thx for the answer guys, I will definitely buy some aftermarket shocks before I get the Sportline.
But Can someone answer me this, is the Eibach Sportlines for 4th gen Preludes the same exact match for the 5th gen Preludes? As in they the same item/part number too?

Yes, they're an exact fit as long as your put the fronts up front and the rears in the rear (they're marked with a F and R so you don't get them mixed up). How cheap are you getting them? I've got a pair I'm trying to sell and I'll undersell that guy if I can

i've been running the same with stock shocks all summer on shitty roads with 132,000 miles on the shocks.
the length of life for your stock shocks is very dependant on how stiff the springs are. if you get springs with rates that are fairly low and close to stock (like mine and dludist's) then you're stock shocks could last a long time. if you buy skunk2 coilovers or g/cs with 500lb springs, your stock shocks might only last a month.
what are the rates of the springs youre getting?

Sorry to bring up an old thread...just shows I'm using the search feature before creating a new thread and getting flamed
I like the ride comfort of progressive springs. I plan to get 17" wheels and lower the car juuuuust right. Going for the clean look here.
As for my plans for the suspension I'll be going for Koni yellows no doubt.
I'm still deciding between Tein S-techs or Eibach Pro-kit / Sportlines. They both don't have an aggressive drop but since the Koni shocks have that adjustable spring perch, I think it will give just the right stance. Can anyone vouch for my planned setup?
