Default Light weight alu spare tire and rim.

So a few months ago i posted that i carry a spare out of a turbo RX-7 in the back of my R. One because its lighter and two it just plain looks better than the stock one..

I have come across two more and do not need them, like i need more spares??.
Any way i was going to post them here before i put them up any where else.
Crap i will have to post a pic up on Monday, my camera is dead..

I thought the spare should always go on the rear, in order to prevent damage to the LSD?

ken, if one of your front tires are blown, you are supposed to take a rear wheel and move it to the front and then put the spare on the rear corner thats been moved up front...never put the spare tire directly up front

You should never run a donut spare on the front. If you get a flat in the front, pull a good rear tire and put the donut in the back and move the good tire to the front. I'm not sure if the R manual says this since I can't find mine but all other FWD cars I've owned said this, including the 01 CL Type S.

I remember correctly the RX-7 spare that Rene M is referring to is one that is the same diameter as an OEM ITR wheel, thus allowing you to run it in the front.

Edit: Here is the thread.

isnt this for the same reason that new tires are recommended as a pair on FWD or RWD, and as a set on AWD ? (so there is no difference in tread / height of tire)

I paid $100 bucks for the rim and alu jack, im not trying to make any thing over what i paid but i was not going to let them go by. I had a hard time finding the last one since they only come on the Turbo cars and they never seem to still have the spare and jack.
