Default So how does honda guide the conrod?

Hey everyone. I'm in the midst of a retrofitting project, and I'm interested in using 83mm bore b18b pistons on top of some 5.967" rods (at the moment, looking at arias and eagle). What I want to know is how honda guides the conrod longitudinally-- is it guided from the piston boss or from the big end journals? My retrofit will require some offset grinding and putting the 23.75mm thick honda rods on a 26mm wide journal.... I'm trying to determine if theres a risk of the conrod going sideways in the bore....

thanks for any help!

They guide with the crank end of the rod.Lots of side clearence will drop oil pressure and increase windage and foaming.
