Default Twin Loop vs. "straight through" exhaust

I currently have a Mugen Twin Loop Cat back system on my turbo gsr. My question is whether or not a straight through type system (EVO, N1, HKS, etc..) would flow better than the twin pass canister the Mugen system includes

dont let the 'baller status' Mugen exhaust sway opinions lol jk

**ALSO I AM STAYING 2.25in. PLEASE dont suggest larger piping!!!*** (my dd, 18g app)

If your running 2.25" the Mugen twin loop will be plenty for your pipe dia. The mugen for the Integra is 2.5" and will handle 350whp.

straight through = more power
twin loop = quieter

is there any place to buy a 3" twin loop?

your exhaust setup is really a huge bottleneck.

Twin loop 2.25'' piping on a turbo GSR? eww

actually with 2.25in from the turbo back....its not really a bottle neck. (with maybe the exception of the muffler which is what this pole is about)

well obviously a straight through would be better for turbo but if you are sticking with the 2.25 inch piping then i dont think just changing the muffler would do much. so i think you should just stick with what you have and just do a complete 3" if you ever decide to upgrade. like some of us said in your other post it will resrict the system but no big deal if you dont mind lower hp numbers.

exhaust cutout with the mugen twin loop would be nice. when my buddy had his old ls turbo hatch with a twinloop on it, it was damn near silent, great for daily driving

i would do that or the 3in if it wasnt for the 18g. i dont want to have to deal with porting the wastegate and worry about creep or spiking issues
