Default code 1 cel, no vtec? *yes, searched*

I don't have a primary o2 sensor hooked up, and won't be able to until wednesday, so naturally i have a cel with code 1. Will vtec still engage? I don't intend to run my car this way, but I used to get a code 22 (vtec pressure switch). I got the code 22 because I switched to using a chipped p28 on my jdm b18c, therefore not having the oil pressure switch. I spliced pin d6 into a4, and now instead of of the code22 I get code1.

So just trying to see if I have fixed the code 22, will vtec engage even tho there's a cel code 1?

yes, vtec will still engage with a code 1. it sounds like the problem lies with your splicing.
