how to tell whether 15x7 or 15x6.5? repair or replace bent rim?
i just bent a rim last night, and the wheels on my hatch are the ones that came with it when i bought it. i know they are 15s just from looking at the tire, easy enough. but how can i tell if it is 15x6.5 or 15x7?
i wont be able to buy another till friday, or pay to get it fixed, either way.
now... should i get it fixed or buy another? i've found one for $120, or a repair for about $60. if repaired, would i run risk of causing damage again easily or not be quite true again?
i've found various other great deals as far as buying a used pair for $150 etc etc, question...... buy new wheel or get repaired?
TIA

Take the wheel off, and look at the inside of the hub, the part that touches the brake rotor.. It will either say, 6.5 or 7 it's stamped into the metal can't miss it.
If it was me, I would go ahead and buy a new wheel, I mean for 60 more bucks, I'd rather have a new wheel.
