cracks under my carpet??
i looked under my carper today cuz my ecu fried cuz of water and i found cracks under my carpet, what would cause this and how could i fix this? ithought about under coating it but i dunno if that would fix anything?
first pic look at the wetness

2nd pic cracks i first seen as i lifted the carpet

3rd more asi kept going back towards the sear.

4th the last one i found under the carpet.

u can see dirt in the cracks and there still wet as my carpet is soaking wet. any help on how to fix this? thx

They're not "cracks" in the metal, just in the sound deadening tar. They are made when the sound deadening is applied and are supposed to be there.

You can leave the sound dampener stuff in there, its good to have.
Well the easiest way to see if it is you heater core is smell the water and see if it smells like antifreeze or even has a greenish color to it. FYI(your heater runs of of your engine coolant).
otherwise look under yourdash and see if you see water driping down the firewall on the inside of the car.

You'd see green antifreeze all over the place. Your pics don't look like it to me. Could your evaporator drain hose be clogged?

Water would drip on the passenger side carpet when running the a/c on humid days.

i took out my ac a year ago ;o so no ac heh but the water problem is on the passenger side

could it be possible my windshield is leaking? heh i have a nice crack at the top of it ;o and all the molding is falling off lol.. cuz the clips all broke ;o
