Couple of quick questions...
So I just fully rebuilt the engine in my 93 LS (B18A). I put a megan racing 4-1 header on it, carsound highflow cat and an RSR ex-mag catback, an AEM SRI and a stock throttlebody Maxbore did 4MM over, also installed a B&M short shifter with the energy bushings and an XTD stage one clutch kit with resurfaced flywheel.
Questions:
1. When started it idles real low. Like 400, but it kinda fluctuates from 400-700. becuase of the low idle, eveyrhting inside shakes.
2. The shifter is really loud, like it sounds kinda like metal on metal, and it's pretty... Like not movable... But I think that's the new bushings.
3. With the new engine ( well pretty much), and the new clutch. What should I do to break em in? Obviously not beat on them, even though it's kinda hard with everything running strong and sounding awesome. =] The guy at the machine shop said use real thick oil for like the first 200 miles, change it, do that again, then go to mobil 1 synthetic every3k miles to seat the rings...
Thanks in advance.

the shifter is too long; i have the BM shifter and energy suspension bushings in my 92. the bottom of the shifter is hitting the top of the heat shield. my shifter isnt "not moveable", but it took some getting used to right after i installed. it resulted in a couple misshifts but now im used to it.

Hmm, that makes sense. When you first said it was too long I was laughed cause it's like just the **** sticking up. I wonder if I can bend the heat sheild or grind the shifter a little... I got used to the shifting but the sound was a little annoying at first.
Thanks!
