Default 96 F22 Engine swap

I am about to get a 96 Accord LX F22 as a project car and i wanted to know is it worth it to swap the stock F22 to a K24? as far as the money and time? or should I just go for the H? I want this to be a daily driver but I wanted to throw some extra punch when I add on the power (which will be determined later) as for now im just thinking of what engine to use...........I have one buddy telling me K (why not the future) or go for the prelude H etc. Any Info would help

If someone could also help me with prices and where to buy (as far as a K....and custom mountings etc I know there some custom shops around that are already swaping that make them but I dont know prices)

Again I thank all the info possible........

Although the Forums are repleat with H22a swaps, how-to's and pratfalls, I have yet to see a K24 swap discussed, let alone finished. Nor have I found any All-Engine build articles on it either. That's not to say it could be very interesting (an additional 200+cu/cm in displacement... hum.

If you can find prices on mounts for k swap into 5gen accord, post it up!

You may wish to look in Kseries forums. Find Nikos. He will give you suggestions. Kswap done and driving will cost you at least 7 grand.

I think that there was a recent discusion somewhere about this. The h22 is your best bet. The k20a is first of all expensive (well to me anyways. I'm 17 ) Like the guy above who said he has yet to see the k series swapped into an accord, I would have to agree. I've seen it in a civic but thats it. I think its something about the 6 speed manual tranny. but i'm not sure.

If they've put a K in a civic then it's definately possible in an accord. Like they said it would be expensive but it would be cool as hell. You'd be the first.

believe me I wouldnt be the first (at least that I know of) I have a buddy that is about to swap a stock F22 to K24 which is what I want to do but My bud and friends are sponsered etc and I didnt know if I wanted to spend all that money or just go for the H............but in the end I think I wan to go for the K24 I just need to find out where to get it and the mounting for the best price.........I was told the engine wasnt to bad it was the custom mountings etc........because the new K's are like 180 degree turn of the F33 etc etc......................there flipped.........

Right now Im looking at engine builders and sellers and still dont see anything about any K's

You won't be able to buy any mounts. You'll need to find a shop that can make some for you. If your buddy is doing it you can find out where he got all his stuff and how he swapped it. Even if you're not the first it would still be awesome to have a k24 powered accord. BTW I hope you have a lot of $$ and a back up car.

I aint no richie rich but im sure I could come up with the money...........also they reason I say buy is because I read a Import Magizine article about some company in Phenoix or something is already swaping k's and have mount kits avaiable to buy............I just have to go back and find this article and find out this company..........but again im all about price.......yes granted money is gonna be a factor but you cant hate me for looking for deals hahaha
