I have ripped out my rear interior a few times and noticed that my trunk area and the whole rear for my matter doesnt look like it was sprayed black. It looks just like a bunch of light overspray but basically gray.

Ive seen white itrs and yellow itrs with the rears gutted and the whole damn thing is sprayed the same color as the car. Also talked to my friend who owned a black itr and he said his rear interior was also painted black...

I will try and take some pics of it asap, because it is seriously buggin the hell outta me. I hope the damn thing hasnt been totally smashed up, because the carfax shows clean. The rear also dont line up completely even. They are slight crooked.

I took out the seats and checked the "hook" things that they latch onto and nothing seem out of the ordinary. I dunno maybe Im just being paranoid.

EDIT: i checked it and there is no overspray, not sure what I was thinkin haha. It is just gray and looks stock.

 

A friend of mine has a JDM Black ITR and under his rear seats and in his trunk its grey so I think your car is normal like that

 

i have the same trunk as you with the ligt overspray , and its grey , i dont think its bad at all , i got an 00 what year is yours?

 

mien is an 01. so basically they screwd the black arrs over with no paint in the rear area...

I know why, less paint = faster

 

i have an 01 PY and it's painted all the way through

 

mine is PY to but the interior looks like overspray -- it's like a **** yellow.

 

it does however look like a base coat was sprayed with no clear except in some areas, but the trunk looks like purposely painted base coat

 

My CW ITR is painted CW in the rear interior.

 

That's cuz the black one's aren't real R's

There's no clear but it is definatly black throughout the entire interior

 

so some were painted and some werent.. that is retarded
