Sorry to bring this from the dead, didn't want to start a new thread, but what is required prior to removing the balence shaft, balenced crank or what? what could go wrong when they are elimated? sorry I just know Honda put them in there for a reason and I also am a big believer in Murphy's Law.

Edit: Nevermind, found all the information I need...Spelling owns me, it's balance not balence.

anyone know why u would want to remove the balance shft, does it take up power?? the balance shaft is to help make the engine run smoother, right?

the balance shafts cancel out vibrations from the motor, and they are parasitic drag on the crank. Whether or not its worth it to remove them is up to you.

isn't one of the downsides extra vibration shaking the car, kinda like putting in motor mount inserts? i've heard ppl say that it makes their dash shake like a ****
