Is it a tone difference too like the rpms sound higher/ lower? if not your speedo could just be miss reading from bumps or somethin

wind, slope, load, gas quality, air temperature, engine temperature, almost anything else you can possibly imagine, etc.

3600 at 70 mph sounds high for a dx tranny, Im pretty shure my old dx tranny cruised at 70 - 2500 rpms or less.

please explain......I just don't understand how slope or wind could affect a standard transmission......unless it was slipping. Maybe I am just missing something here.

not unless that is the 92-93 gsr cable tranny that is wrong, 94 up gsr hydro tranny is 80 at 4000 rpm. and how many minutes is 4000 rpms is that? lol

and as far as the speed vs. rpm question, your tach or speedo is not working correctly put i would really worry about it.

i have a D15 too. and my civic LX cruisese at 70 mph at 4100. My buddies Lude cruises HIGHER than that at 70. but mine does that just cause its a slug and it has to try harder to go 70.

on a side point, my hood is temporarily bungie corded down for various reasons (long story) and i was happy to get my car running after an accident so i was having fun and i hit 70 mph and my fu#$ing hood started to come up lol! it scared the sh#$ outtta me!

If you're driving up a hill or against wind the engine will have to push harder to maintain the same speed.

doesn't the clutch lock your engine and tranny together ,say 1 to 1, if the engine turns once the wheels would turn once
