Default I have 3 headers - which one should I use?

I have a built B18C1 in a CRX with 270 compression. I have 3 headers to choose from (left to right):

1) DC 4-1 Type R
2) SSAutochrome 4-1 Type R
3) Jasma 97E011 B18C 4-2-1

All three have a 2.5" collector. The Jasma has the best clearance and the other two hang pretty low beneath the oil pan. The only one I've read about is the DC and I know it gave pretty decent dyno numbers for the cost (Great Header Test).

I like the idea of having more torque and midrange with the 4-2-1 design but I don't want to limit my high end at the drag strip provided by the 4-1 designs - and my engine is built to rev to 10k.

Anyway, I don't have the money to dyno test these and I am sort of leaning towards the Jasma because of the clearance and Japanese B18C stamp

You do also know that Jasma is not a brand, right?

The JASMA header alone will command a small fortune due to its rarity.

All kidding aside, selling them and purchasing a higher-end header is a very good suggestion.

You will crush the 4-1's in the crx.. I went through 4 of them before going to a 4-2-1 Smsp, never hit this one on anything.

does the jasma header have L/M/T AX engraved on the side of the flange? if so, you better take a look at the inside of the collector, it isn't a pretty sight

Ok, here is a pic of the header with the 'JASMA' plaque:

I also FORGOT (duh) I had another header (ANR) stored away because it was too large for my B16:

Should I also sell this one and get the SMSP 4-2-1? Or should I look for an RMF or Hytech or what?

Even though your responses are critical, I really appreciate the input because I don't want to waste my time or money on junk

This is exactly what I would do.

ANR is a great header, and the R in ANR stands for Randy

I ran one on my old CRX and i loved it. i wouldnt sell it and buy an smsp or a hytech. i would keep the ANR. it placed 3rd in my header test, 1.5whp behind the SMSP and the RMF header.

plus it gives you great ground clearance.

EDIT: if you dont want it PM me ill buy it, or ill trade you a hytech for it

TBone, so the ANR is a good choice then? I forgot I had it or I wouldn't have bought the others.

I tried going to your website to see your CRX but there are no fotos...

I wish one of my problems included forgetting about owning an ANR header.

LOL.
Anyway, damn dude you have a lot of headers. Use the ANR, sell the other three. Unless you want to keep them for art pieces for your living room.

the AN-R is BY FAR the best header...but the coated mild ones did have cracking issues. my compact/coated/merge AN-R cracked SEVERAL times....and a close friends cracked and literally fell into 2 pieces....

personally, i'd sell them all and buy an RMF... no cracking issues, and will make more power than any other header you'll be able to buy
