Default head swap as simple as it sounds?

I have a 93 vtec. I just bought a head (complete) off a 99 base. Is it truly as simple as I think? Or are there any real differences between the H22a-1 and the H22a-4? I figured I'd need a new head-gasket and that's it.

I don't know of anything preventing you from bolting it up.

If you've done a straight head swap before, don't worry.

other than the electronics being obd2 there is no complication. you will need to switch over obd1 parts, ie injectors, complete wiring harness, possibly EGR stuff.. dizzy

Um, hopefully the bolts will not break on you... The Cam Plate Holder Bolts that is... I've had like 5 bolts broken just trying to put mine back on...

I'd replace them though if I was you... :/

I dunno if anyone else has had this problem though..

are you talking about the plate that bolts on top of the cam caps? if you have broken bolts either putting them in or taking them out , someone over torqued them , i have taken my head off numberous times and haven't broken one
