03' Civic Oil Change

I'll be doing an oil change for a friend. I've done oil changes before but never on a civic. Is the oil filter located in the back below the intake manifold? Also how many quarts of oil does it take? Thanks.

i know the 2002 takes 4.4 qts of oil and its gonna be the same for the 03

what trim level?

off hand i know the EX takes 3.7 qt and i believe less for DX/LX.

oil filter is on the back of the motor under the IM. ex holds 3.7 qs

if lx/dx/etc = 3.6qt ?
