p30 or p72 Ecu to run Ls vtec motor?
Ok I am debating on running a p30 (on the b16 obd1 motors) or p72 (obd1 gsrs) ecu on my setup ls/vtec b18b block with gsr head....what are the main differences and which one would your prefer any opinions would help...
I have the exact set up you have only with a B18A1 bottom end. Im running Hondata S100 in my P72 and I think it works better then the P30, the fuel and if ignition tables are more expandable on the P72 then with the P30. With just 11:1 comp pistons, rc 310cc injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, ITR cams, and an intake maniofold, mine dyno'd in at 168 hp to the wheels on 92 octane.

if your leaving the ecu stock...then i'd choose the p72 over the p30. Question is, which intake manifold are you running on that GSR head?

I am depending on the ECU and debating if I should go v-tec controller or S100..I have almost almost the same setup except stock injectors with a Blox intake manifold, have you taking yours to the track? What does it run in the 1/4 mile I am planning to bring mine in the spring...
