type R cam shafts in b16a

Default type R cam shafts in b16a

my friend got a b16a si engine in his Eg..he just ordered some type R cam shafts and he gonna install the cams himself...we wanna know do we need ne other parts to do this...and how much of a difference is the cams shafts is gonna make also should he get some type R cams to go with the camshafts? has ne one here got the same camshafts in their b16? any opinion is needed

Just to let you know, cams and camshafts are the same thing.

All you need is a helms manual. It will give you all you need to know about installing a set of cams in your motor.

The ITR cams or CTR cams (not sure which is he getting) will be a lot better than what you are running right now. You'll prolly feel a noticable increase in power.

Do you mean Valve springs, Retainers, Cam Gears, What the hell are you asking???

oh ok my fault....cam and cam shafts are the same...but ne thanks...is this a fairly easy job to switch the cams? Thanks again

yeah, just get some more info on it before you do it. Read a haynes/helms/chiltons manual and you should have no problem

if vavletrain is not changed don't rev past 8100 but if it is changed to what i'm changing them to itr outer portflow inner and titanium retainers you can rev up 9000 but you really don't need to rev that high with itr cams but knowing you can is priceless
