Default Stupid In-Dash LIGHTS!

In my del Sol my ac lights turn off when i hit a bump and i have to punch it to turn it back on. im sure this is a common problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?

its the dimmer, most likely....quite common in eg's and sols alike....try it out, next time they go out, give the dimmer a "love tap" and they'll come on...what u could do is get another dimmer from the juink yard or solder the two red wires coming outta it together...no more dimming, but also no more turning off over bumps

My dimmer switch did this two, it's a very common problem. I priced a new one, $100.00 ouch! I simply bypassed the dimmer switch by connecting the two wires to each other. I never used the dimmer function anyway. Haven't had a problem since.
