new distributor, car wont start...

Default new distributor, car wont start...

ordered new dizzy from distibutor king (flying pat) on here, well my car will start with the old one on but i cant get it to start with the new one, what am i doing wrong?

All you did was switch distributors?

If the old one works why did you get a new one?

Are you sure you installed EVERYTHING correctly?

no cels, yeah i just switched the dizzy's, got a new one bc i been having problems with breakin up under accleration and basically i'm "trial and error"ing whats wrong, tried new plugs and wires.....

pretty sure, two plugs on the side and then the wires, right???

What about internally?

Is the rotor installed correctly?

Also, sounds dumb but is the spring on the end of the coil still there? One time I took my cap off and the spring went flying. I didn't notice until the car wouldn't start and I had to go back through everything.

It's hard to trouble shoot these types of things over the internet...

well it came assembled already, i dont want to take it apart, i talked to him on the phone and he is gonna let me exchange for another one...
