Interior painting?
I just want to know if there is any tips on painting the dash, trim and other plastics. I've tried it once but it bubbled and looked like crap. Any help would be appreciated.
take everything out of the car to start, next prep all surfaces with 80 grit sandpaper, use wax and degreaser. Goto your local autobody store, get epoxy sealer the brush on kind. Coat all parts to be painted with 4 coats. Next block out all surface and prime, and paint. This will give you the glossy show finish you see at car shows. DO NOT try to use rattle can paint or primer or it will look like crap! You need to use autobody primer, paint, and clear to get a good finish.
hey well i just re paint my whole dash and interior in my 96 hb...well what i did was i pulled all of the dash of of the car then i wipe it down with like 409 or something and then i use armor all to clear the surface with dirt or debris. after i did that i started to paint using krylon plastic paint...but there are some spot on the car you need to use flat black paint not the plastic or the dash going to be sticky so just take your time and its gonna come out good
