Default WHat year Integra Radiator fits the 4G "EF" Civic? Mines the '89 Hatch DX W/ZC

Leaned on the wrong place and cracked the upper tank. Remember reading somewhere a certain year integra radiator bolts right in and offers double the cooling capacity at about the same price as a same type replacement. Search never turned it up for me.

90-93 Teg radiator is a direct bolt in,but has larger water necks;works perfect w/B-series engine swaps, but I assume the ZC has smaller water necks like the rest of the D-series engines.HTH.

hmm..
that sounds logical for a 92+ civic but not for an 88-91 EF. All EF's have an integra length style radiator, unlike the 92+ civic's which have a smaller radiator (half size). I believe if you went with a 90-93 integra radiator in your EF, all you'd be doing is putting the same radiator, only difference is the water neck size.

Anyone ever compare a DA radiator to an EF rad ?

Exactly, the ZC has the same size neck that the DX original was, so I guess its the small one. I used a '89 Integra upper hose that was shortened about 8". Going to have to get something ordered today so I can get my car back on the road. Guess it will have to be a stock type. Maybe I remembered wrong about what series body that swap was for. I was sure it was on the board, and I remember a comment about the core thickness of the integra radiator being twice as thick as the Civic core. Maybe it was for a 5G swap. Thanks for the input folks. I appreciate getting that issue straight in my mind. I don't have time to screw around (need this car on the road)or the chance to compare a TEG vs. Civic radiator visually.

Default Not 100% sure, but...

I swapped out my wimpy hf radiator for a 90 integra one yesterday. The thickness is easily twice that of the hf, not sure about the si though..I would assume it's thicker than si though. Width is the same as the si. Full metal endtanks sure is nice now too. Just a warning, this was far from bolt in for me...I had to bang, bend, and cut a LOT to make this work. Not sure if it's because I previously had an hf radiator, or it's because of other customizations in the engine bay that were getting in the way.

Good luck,

Ryan P.

Oh, almost forgot: the hose necks are bigger than the zc hoses, but you can push and stretch them like a **** and make them fit. You're gonna need new larger hose clamps to hold them on though.

Would this also apply to a 4th gen base model hatch/ZC? Ive looked at a friends 90 crx SI and was pretty sure that the rad in it was somewhat wider than the one in my base model and was considering the swap but I figured if it doesnt overheat why worry about it. Would installing a bigger rad really be worth the hassle?

I had the DX and would guess the radiator was bigger than the hf. Had to get a stock replacement, needed to get my car on the road ASAP. Since the ZC with hard driving really never even starts to get warm
