i tore tirerack a new ******* cuz i've been on it for hours ten times a day but obviously u didn't read waht i said........ "so if you guys can help me out with some tires you guys have bought before and how you guys liked them" btw, p nut, i had es100's before on my prelude and they SUCKEDDDDDDDDDDDD ***! I dont want tires that are like that and the best way to find out what i am buying is from people like you guys with experience. I have searched on both boards. I believe I am on week 3 of researching right now and with 3 weeks of driving my tires ahve become very deadly as it needs to be alligned and balanced as well so it makes it even more dangerous to drive.

The only tire within that price range that I've had good experience with is RE750's. Pretty stiff sidewalls, good grip in wet and dry. It lasts a pretty good while, too. Are you going to change out the fronts, too? You should always try to have matching sets F&R.

Not to get too technical, but you have to look at the treadlife/dollar. Those Hankook's are really good tires. (grippy in the dry, not so great in the wet) But their treadlife is something like half of what RE750's are. (based on my experience - mine lasted a little below 30k miles with several auto-x's. My friend's RS2's lasted 13k miles with about the same amount of auto-x's) So per dollar, you'd be spending more for the Hankook's than the BS's.
But, if the original thread started uses his car mostly for track purposes, I'd go with the RS2's. If it's mostly street driven, RE750's get my vote. I haven't found anything else below that price range that accommodates the S too well.

My friend had them on his G35 and loved them. He's going to get them for his next set on his S, I believe.

i saw the KDW but not KWD? was that a typo? anyways, the KDW has a thread waer of 6.8 where as the KDW 2 has a thread waer of 7.8. they dont really have the sizes for our cars. 245/16's arne't made and the front is 205 50 not 55.
how do youguys feel abotu the Hankook rs2's? anyone with personal experience? i love the information tire rack provides but htey dont seem to be selling hankook or they just dont have any on the website.
PS: i did read that thread on the 3 diff tires. I am just asking here for people with experience. thanks.

like i said in the other thread you made a while back. I'm happy with the hankooks...with free shipping and no tax from tire.com you can't go wrong.
I Sumi's From tire rack for $74 a tire. 245/45/16. Nice tire needs to be shaved or broke in before you get on them or else they don't handle like anything. You can tell for sure they are nothing like the S02's. But for the money I'm happy, as long as I'm not on the track.

yeah they are really soft, but they seem to grip really well, almost a well as the so2's....... although the sidewall is not quite as stiff........
fwiw, i wore out my so2's in @ 8k miles......
if these last that long,or longer, i am only out $200 not almost $400

I like them enough to recommend them. One of the better wet/dry traction combo out there.

Treadwear doesn't matter as much as driving style/conditions. 140 treadwear RE050 lasted me ~16k miles, while 280 treadwear KDW went 22k miles, not even to 30k. A couple track days probably made it worse, as with the occasional sliding.
