Default Quick Question

Hey guys, i have a 90 EX 4 door. I have a Z6 block with y8 head swap. Right now im running obd0 and the stock pm6 ecu. I have a obd1 conversion harness, a p28 in the mail, 4wire o2 and obd1 dizzy. Im also puttin on a Z6 intake mani/injectors/tb ect. How big of a diff do you think all that stuff will make performance wise, a noticible difference? Also vtec isnt activating right now so i've never taken it past 4k. Thanks.

Default Re: Quick Question (cticknor666)

No, it won't help.

4,000 RPM is pretty much the redline on a Z6/Y8 hybrid motor. Actually, I wouldn't rev the engine past 3K even with VTEC, as power just drops off after that.
Best bet for performance is to convert it to DPFI, from a 88-91 DX or STD.

LOL. Yeah, it will help, alot.
