Default Building A K20, need info!

ok im new to the k series and i wanted to egt some info from you guys. i was wondering it i build the rsx base model motor would it be the same as building the type s motor besides the tranny? im changing out the pistons, rods, the whole valvetrain and i was wondering would i get the same results from building both. b/c i can get a base model for 1000 bucks and the type s for like 3500. so if the results are going to be the same then i would just go with the base model motor.

k20a2 has a oil squirters k20a3 doesn't. Both have same bore and stroke. K20a3 has a narrower bearing on the rod. The k20a3 is a wanna-vtec head, but if your doing a super NA set-up it doesnt matter because you can port the head just like a k20a2 or a head. They only difference is you would most likely had to get some sick cams made with really no vtec load so all the lift and duration would be ground strictly into the primary lobe.

Since you don't have a motor yet, don;t get the base... The head is not like the rsx type s or the tsx.

Of course you are not going to get the same results... you cannot even use the same cams in the 2 heads...

I love Nicos tacos in tuscon
