ok my freind has a 97 EX stock motor
we installed some dc headers
his stock o2 sensor is on the upper half of the stock manifold
but the dc header has the o2 bung at the bottom of the collector near the cat
so we extended the wires of the stock o2 sensor to reach the spot on the header
now its throwing a cel
i havent checked the code yet but im pretty sure that's what it is
how can we fix the cel
should i get an o2 sensor from a 99/00?

i have the same problem mine is throwing a code 41 its better if you replace the o2 sensor

 

check the wiring. That was my problem when I extended my oxygen sensor wiring
