I have a B16 with a Greddy turbo kit on it i was wondering if there is anyway to make my turbo louder. My boy has a drag kit on his B18 and his spoool is loud as hell. Might be a dumb question but is there anything I can do to make my **** louder?

 

Take the air-filter off

Just run open down pipe, then it'll be as loud as a semi-truck's turbo.

Cops will think a semi-truck is passing by and then realize it's just a Honda and quickly pull you over for having a exhaust system too loud or no exhaust system.

 

one of my friends has a B18C turbod hatch, and the turbo got alot louder when he upped the boost from 7psi to 12

thats what i have until my down pipe is fixed. ya who

your friends drag kit is probably louder because it has a bigger turbo and also it has an external wastegate. i know once i hit full boost and the wastegate opens its pretty loud. with your internal wastegate the wastegate exhaust just dumps into the downpipe so it doesnt make much noise. so i would say the only safe way to get a louder spool would be to get a bigger turbo or get an external wastegate or both. open downpipe is fun but not too streetable and like quick hatch said you could take off the air filter if you really wanted to but i dont think risking sucking a rock or some other debris into your compressor sounds fun. good luck

 

or if you want to run no filter a simple patio door screen zip tied or with a collar works no rocks
