Default Checking ECU codes

ok, tonight on my way home my speedo fell to 0 and my CEL came on, well when i came how i looked at the DIY cel thing.

well, i cannot find that grey plug with two wires. anywhere, i took off the glove box to help look.

i did however find a blue plug with 3 wires, and 2 of them are red/black stripe black/red stripe.

is that the correct plug? i used it and it didnt tell me any codes, then blew out my interior light fuse.

the car is a 93 civic lx

Are your lights dim? When my speedo dropped my alt quick working and I was throwing a 20 and a 41, turned out it was just a 7.5amp fuse, under dash.

Just feel around by the glove and carpet.
