lights under dash... wires got fried like KFC

Default lights under dash... wires got fried like KFC

i have neon lights under my dash, i know u HT guys think its rice, but i gotta em so i can seee when i dropped something at nite... i put them in about 1-2 months ago.... a few days ago the wires got fried!!... why did this happen.. do i need to run a fuse? the gause was 14 or

what company made them?(street glow,stuido9) Also where did you power them from? If you cut the cig. light plug then you blew them because there was a fuse inside the plug. Or if there wasnt a fuse inside the plug you could of just had a bad light or a bad internal fuse.

Any time you make a connection to power ANYWHERE, there needs to be a fuse inline.

That's basic knowledge, guy....
