B18C block w/B16A head
Anybody out there ever done a B18C block w/B16A head conversion with integra or Civic Type R pistons? If so than what was the compression and how much HP did you get?
Well, if you put the b16a head on the GSR without switching pistons, you'll actually lower your compression ratio due to the shape of the head's combustion chamber.
Likewise if you put a GSR head on a b16a, you'll raise the compression about .2 pts. I believe.
Basically known as the Poorman's type R motor. If you plan on putting a stock b16a head on a GSR, I wouldn't do it. For about that much you could get a Skunk2 manifold and some other goodies. Now if you're doing an ITR head, that's a different story. Very worth it. Just switch to some CTR or JDM P30 pistons and you'll be good to go
