Default Cam gears on a stock ITR???

Putting toda cam gears on a stock ITR,
The only mod I have right now is the AEM CAI. So putting them on and tunning them with a dyno COULD there be a power gain? and would they fit on stock cams?

does it pay to spend 200 + dyno time??? and could they be reused on the toda's when they come in the future??

I know its a off question but I'd leave the answers to you peeps, Thanks

Good question. I think they should fit on the stock cams, and also think you can optimize the performance of the stock cams a little better as well....

Yes to all the questions. A VAFC works well on a "stock" R as well.

So the cam gears from toda and the VAFC will make some nice power gains, just three more question for you nuts} will the cam gears fit in the stock valve cover or do i have to either get another one or chop this one up?
and does the gears need a special belt or just leave it stock for now?

what is an apx whp gain?

Yes/no
Stock
Depends on tuning

With Comptech 4-2-1, Comptech Catback, AEM CAI, pulleys, cam gears, and tuning - 175/125. Added V-AFC, got 3 more whp, 2-1/2 wtorque.

Stock cams, mild tuning, 13.87@99 best.

I believe they fit but you'll have to eventually have a valve cover that has the two moon cuts so that you can tune them.

Here is a chart of my car...the before and after changes are due ONLY to tuning Toda cam gears on ITR cams and raising timing from stock (10 in this case) to 18 along w/ minor fuel adjustments

So, Yeah, it helps!!!

It will get better as you get more mods. I would just tune it all in the end.

I'd rather tune as you go, otherwise you wont really be able to say that mod x gave you xx hp with it may have only given you y hp when the tuning gave you zz hp. That's probably not clear but oh well.

Plus, if it's tuned correctly you may end up being happy for a while longer and therefore saving money in the short term at least
