whoa, suspension problem i think.
about one month ago i had the driver side axle replaced. since then the car has been running smooth. Yesturday when i was walking towards my car, from about 100ft away, it appeared that the driver side of the car was higher up than the passenger. i drove it home, and examined it. it looked like the driver side front wheel, was in towards the car further than the passenger. i measured the ground clearance on both sides of the car, front and back. the driver side was about 3/4 to 1inch higher than the other side(front and rear).
other info-
car was lowered about 4months ago with megan racing springs.
i hit a pot hole a few days ago, that blew out the front passengerside tire.
about 1 month ago, the front left axle was replaced
The car does Not pull to either side.
i'm really stumped, does anyone have any thoughts? thanks in advance!

Well, it is certainly possible that when you hit the pothole, it damaged some suspension part. Perhaps some suspension arm that positions the entire wheel/hub assembly. You did hit it hard enough to blow a tire, so it must have been hard. It must have been VERY hard if it were one of those meaty stock tires.
The axle change/even if installed incorrectly, would have no impact on the height of either side of the car. When you say the driver's side wheel was in more, what exactly does that mean. Is the camber out of whack? Or is the entire wheel pushed in? The top (negative camber)? The bottom (positive camber)?

If you hit a pothole hard enough to hit the bumpstop, then you could have pushed the shock down into the fork, so you might want to check that. They are only held in place by the one pinch bolt after all. Other than that, check to make sure nothing was bent/broken.
maybe the passenger side shock was blown from the pothole impact. i think a blown shock could change ride height. I bought an h22civic once, and one side was lower than the other. and the guy said it was because the right shock was blown, and man was he right, that thing was mmore than blown.
Its much more the spring that sets ride hight than the shock. Check out your spring its probly bent or broken. Would not be the first one i've seen broken.
thanks for the info guys. i think it may be the shock, considering i lowered the car with lowering springs(not coilovers) on the stock shocks.
but the weird thing is, the side that is lower is how the car normally sits. i guess i'll just have my mechanic friend look at it, b/c i'm so stumped.
thanks again.

i think sometimes the driver side sits higher than the passenger side to offset the drivers weight. when you alone are sitting in the car, it is probably level. i had a mitsubishi like that.
