Hey I have a turbo Bswap and my suspension which was once rock solid (with the sohc) is now a lil sloppy. Taking corners the car feels really dippy, like the added weight in front throws it around a lot more than the sohc did.
I was just wodnering if you guys with bswaps switch tos tiffer springs once you get swapped? I have 2 sets of stiffer GC springs i was thinking of throwing them on to see if they clean up the ride a lil.
What do you think?

when i swapped my b16, i had the same feeling. it felt way heavier in the front of course. i'd recommend getting stiffer springs and better shocks if you want handling. i upgraded from stock shocks + ebay junk coilovers to KYB AGX and H&R sports springs. still the H&R isn't stiff enough. I'm slammed in the front.
The softness of your suspension could be from wear and tear of daily driving, but added weight does change the way that a car handles as well as power. I would think that you could get away with stiffer components but at the cost of comfort.
You may just just need to replace your struts. Or just invest in a full coilover, they tend to be stiffer and more evenly matched with spring and strut resulting in a firmer ride.
Also look at other components like sway bars and stuff like that, those things would take the roll out of your ride and may stiffen the suspension up.
What setup are you running now?

right now i got ST Swaybars in the front and rear, all that strut tower brace BS, KYB AGX Struts with Ground Control Coilovers, off teh shelf rates, and ground control upper mounts all around. I have some 450/550 in my basement i may throw the 450 in front i think i have 350 in front now.
I also have Koni Yellows, but i need to contact ground control to get the adapater so i can use them with my sleeves...

well since you have those coil sleeves and shocks...im guessing youre goin for comfort with a little bit of performance.
tein SS would be good and its fairly cheap. and its adjustable dampers so you can turn'em way up or all the way down

if the car isnt gutted to death and if he doesnt push the car to its very limit, then that mod wont do crap.

it doesn't have to be gutted to death to make a difference, but he does have to be pushing the car's limits.
