Default AEM V1 CAI vs. V2

is it worth it to dish out the extra cash for the V2? And are they really the best CAI you can get on the teg?

oh and how do they sound?

no, it's not worth it to "dish" out the extra cash for the v2. it's not even worth it for the regular aem cai.

stock arm with drop in filter will be just fine.

not true.. the stock air box is there to keep the filter from heat if you take it off it sucks in heat. just find a aem cai for cheap dont buy no v2 for like 200. never spend more than 150 for a brand name intake. people will tell you ebay intakes are the same as aem but the bends and width is not the same. ebay intake some are too big resulting in loss of power

edit: if you have a GSR i have a mint injen(very good brand name) cold air intake used for less than 1 month. email me webmaster@getdistracted.com

the size depends on the one you buy, but the bends are more or less the same.and if you want a name brand one....dont buy the V2....dont get fooled about the garbage about the sound wave....charging the cylinders. i have had ppl have them here locally and the fitiment was bad and it rubbed and they got a hole in them. one of the uy went to the password intake and could never be happier.

**stock intake arm, k&n drop in filter, stock box, and a modified lower arm to get cold air(the arm that comes out of the bottom of the box to the fender well...... owns all intakes for the price you pay.
