Damn damper washer thingy
I was putting on some new shocks and springs on my ef and I forgot to put the washer looking thing (I cant think of the name of it right now cause I'm pissed) that stops the piston from going through the top on. It is the first one I put on. I also rounded off the damper fork nut too putting it on. So I have to drive it about a mile and a half to a shop to get it fixed. Would I be safe driving it very slowly up there? Or will it mess something up? Tip-{Don't work on your car after you've been drinking, sometimes you forget things} THIS SUX!!!
hmmm.. i did the same thing and after driving mile and a half to get lunch before i relaized what was wrong, the shock rod almost punched through my hood.
you COULD do it. but why are you taking it to a shop? just do it again yourself, correct this time.

Cause I stripped the damper fork nut. I can't for the life of me get it off. Do you know how I could get it off myself besides sawwing for an hour or two?
The one through the bushing. I tried the vice grips. I am not strong enough to hold it from turning it with the "cheater bar" and I dont have a big enough one to fit the vice grips.
