broken backseat, searched.

broken backseat, searched.
okay so the little pin you pull up to release the top of your backseat is broken on the left side. i pull it up and it just comes out completely and the seat is still locked in place. any ideas of how i get around this problem?

have you tried taking the seat apart yet? it's not that difficult. search for "seat disassembly" or something on here and you should find it or "taking apart seat". if you don't find something just go slowly with it. there are hidden clips and such that suck and you don't want to break stuff. it's easy though, don't worry. i mean, it's already broken, so you have little to lose.

yes, couldn't get them down far enough and even if i could i could open them enough to grab onto whatever it is i'm digging for...

yea i was actually even thinking of hacking off the hinge to get my seat out...i honestly have no idea what my friend did to get it to work...he just messed around with it and now its back to normal
