do jdm motors come with a vin # on the tranny like the usdm? im about to buy a jdm motor from a shop and was wondering if the smog ref. was to find out its a different motor how would he find out if its a legal motor or stolen. would he ask for a receipt for the motor or would he punch in some # thats on the motor?
