How long did your Tokicos last?
This is a question on how many miles did your Tokico "blue" non-adjustables last?
I'm been rolling on them with my sports springs. In the last month, I notice it getting more weak with tires rubbing and jiggy ride on some roads. They are fine with no leaks. Just wondering if I'm getting close to the deadline. Had them on for about 2 years and 30K miles.
Plase list miles on yours.

Just wondering, is two years normal for a shock on a lowered suspension?
This is my first lowered car.
On my old Civic, all stock with no mods, the shocks lasted for 8 years until the car was sold.

I had mine on for about 40k miles...they did eventually get a lil "weaker" towards the end. I sold them to a friend before they really had a chance to progress any further. You can probably get them serviced and revalved, but it probably wouldn't be worth the money. If I could do it again, I'd get a set of bilstein's instead if I wanted good non-adjustable shocks.
nah, my friends have had shocks last way longer than 2 years on lowered cars. it's mostly cuz the tokico blues don't handle low drops and high spring rates very well. they're a great shock for mild drops like neuspeed sofsports, h&r oe, or even stock springs, but they're not the best at handling a lowered (always compressed) suspension. the bodies aren't shortened and the valving eventually wears down.

I got under 15,000 miles with my Blue's on NYC's "roads", and I use the term "roads" loosely. They're NOT performance shocks and they're not built to take abuse apparently. I'm starting my second season on my KYB's, quite happy.

Got Tokico Illuminas on a 00 Si w/ Skunkworks coilovers. They've been on for over a year and around 35,000 miles. Still work like new.
I had tokico blues on my Ground Controls and they blew relatively quick after i lowered the car around 2in....
Im about to get sportlines and im still looking for a nonadjustable shock that can withstand a 1.8drop

Like I said above, the blues are a great shock, but not for lowered cars or high spring rates.
mine last d about the same amount of time and milage..should have gotten the koni s in the first place and not be a cheapscape
I am wondering how is their ride quality with a 2+" drop compared to stock before they blow out? Are they any stiffer than the stock shocks? Thanks!
