Default Dyno of a 254whp/176lb-ft

Last night we did some header testing against a 1 piece SMSP stepped header and a new SMSP prototype soft stepped 1 piece header that I finished yesterday.

This a B Series sleeved and stroked engine built by Jim Justice with prototype cams and a ported S2 IM. If the owner of the engine wants to provide any more info then that's up to him.

A BIG to Jim Justice Race Engines

Blue line is the new prototype header.

The engine looks like any regular B series.

Sweet. 92mm stroke? That graph looks pretty close to my 92mm motor.
And I want that header !

hey dave, what difference in the header cause a gain throughtout the entire powerband ? i'm curious since I would think one header design over another would gain lets say on the top part of the powerband but lose in the lower or mid part, or vice versa ...

wouldn't a header hav eot be some sort of adjustable length running that changes as RPMs climb during the pass, in order to show gains through out the entire powerband ?

Like to know how header designs work, and what variables in the header causes increases in power.

Dave nice job on header, I would not post pics until you get some orders to cover R&D. even I could copy them. LOL I think they have H-22 written all over them, looking at the bottom TQ. If those are the cams I sent Jim they are Skunk Pro3+. Looks like they want to rev a little higher and would still keep up the power.

Pimping would mean someone was getting "screwed" and I happen to like Jim and Jason. Now if I sold them some other cams I have here........

Its funny to me that you outdid your own damn header by like 5hp and 5tq rofl. Retarded numbers though for sure.

David, thanks for posting. SMSP headers .

The "owner" is very pleased, as am I. It will be next week before the "owner" is able to go over all our info and post about the build and the track results.

Special thanks to Don Flores for his contributions. (Don, we should record and sell our phone conversations concerning our past racing adventures.)
