my idle keeps going from 1500-3000. then it levels out at 2000. i replaced the cap and rotor, and replaced the throttle body gasket. i took carb cleaner and cleaned it out, plus i checked the throttle body for leaks. any other ideas?

 

Did you try FITV or IACV?

 

what are those and where r they

 

fuel filter?

 

FITV AND IACV are usually the problems... check for vaccum leaks too, mine does that to.. but not all the time, it does it very rarely but sometimes when im at a stop sign or stop light waiting to go it would surge from 1000 to 1500 rpm and go back down and up and down.

 

Yeap check the iac valve on the back of the intake.
