Default Compustar 1-way

Just bought a compustar 1way alarm/starter combo (I need a starter up here in mid Canada). Just wanted to know if there is a difference between AM and FM because mine is AM. Is it a difference in range? Thanks in advance.

Yes, there is a difference. 2 way starters have considerably better range. Usually, with one-way starters/alarms, range is 200-500 feet line of sight...

With the FM 2way compustars, I've heard up to 2500 feet isn't uncommon....
