Running 2 12" L7s, what amp?
Alright, I have 2 12" L7s, well 1 right now cuz i was running 1 off a crappy amp and it blew...but i have another one on the way. I am wondering what kind of amp to get to prevent this from happening again. I have been looking at Hifonics and Cadence. Out of these brands, which one and why?
Well how much you have to spend? Those L7s can take a ton a power.I would put at least
1000watts a piece, but 1500 would be better.Hifonics and Cadence are both good choices, hifonics is a little cheaper and make good power.

Ever heard of Zapco or Crossfire, there nice runnin at 1ohm.You can get a Crossfire 4000 for maybe $600 if you look, thatd be real nice for those L7s.
Dont know if you ever watched some of the vids here:

But go to the Kicker section on Vids and you can get an idea of what amps everyone is runnin.
Good luck.

I only have about 400 MAX because I am doing a motor swap in the very near future and dont want to blow too much money on an amp. So i have it limited to the hifonics and the cadence.
alright, i can get a hifonics BX 2005 BD or a Cadence ZRs-9
from what ive read/seen both are great amps. Has any1 had any personal experiences with either?

Alright, I have decided that I am going to go with kicker KX 1200.1s. In the long run, it will be cheaper for me as I am going to strap 3 of them together and run a 12" Solo-X.

hifonics overates their amps by a lot. they tend to put around 150-250 watts less than they're rated at.

good to hear. Went to the local shop yesterday, they had a kicker KX1200.1 used still under warranty for 375, or a Memphis MC1000D new on clearance for 225 with 4 year warranty still. I picked up the memphis amp and a cap. Talked to a couple friends first, they said i'll be pushing it about the same. Also picking up a ported box on monday or tuesday instead of using my ghetto rigged sealed box
