Tell me how feasable is this??? My brother took his 96 civic to a "mechanic" ( who once also charged him $1400 bucks for a used tranny swap) said that he needed a new harmonic balancer. My bro is clueless on cars and drives like an old lady. i havent looked at it yet but does anyone think this is possible?

 

it is possible. if the crank bolt is undertorqued it will walk egging the keyway or the balancer. take it apart in your driveway yourself and look. if may be a deal you can do yourself.

 

sounds like bs to me....a new key way is like 3 bux at honda buy it and do it yourself if thats the case...
