I was driving home in my beater and took a turn at a green light going alot faster than I would normaly. I find myself doing it alot and I think its because Im so used to the ITR. Anyone else catch yourself going alot faster than needed into a green light or yield?

I catch myself clicking the Back button a lot more recently with some of the threads I've read in this forum recently.

John, Seth means good and he is not what you think this thread may portray himself to be. You and I know there are ALOT of us and maybe including you who drive a little bit more aggressive than supposed to. Seth is pointed out because he simply spoke out in truth. Hell, knock on me, I take turns on public streets a little bit faster, only where I can.

Dont worry Seth, Ebelp still loves you. And you also have a choice of viewing a thread or not.

 

yes, I am constantly taking turns around my part of town.... I mean going into them pretty hot, heel toe, turn in and away I go. There are only a hand full of turn that I do it on as I can not afford a ticket so I drive rather conservative but there are times I feel like the street could be the track

 

This thread mightt be pointless,BUT.........I find myself "beating on my beater" from time to time. A red Ej1(95 civ 2dr), well past its prime.

Just the other day..............while day dreaming of the R......... and my new Azenis............... and some "future" AutoX run........

A left hand turn and a green light appear. So of course.....I gas it.

OOOps!!! I forgot NO LSD in this. I plow straight instead of turning left like I had planned. Right into the oncoming curb. Snap goes the front axle, as it meets the curb.

Thanks to Ebay and $40 later a new/old axle is on the way. So much for watching football this Sunday..

I do a little too much "spirited" driving in my 2002 V6 Ranger lol Gotta love the way the back end bounces sideways when I hit a bump! I need to play some GT4 or something to get it out of my sytem...

I feel ya on that Sean. I know I can't push the R on the streets as hard as I like because the tires I use for the streets pretty much suck. It helps me from forgetting that I'm on a public road, not a race course

Just thought I would post something up different than a tech question to change the direction of the forum for a second. Being an ITR enthusiast I noticed something; and wanted to share it with some people who I think share the same love for the car.

I find my self not applying the breaks quick enough in other cars besides the R.

 

I think that I've pretty much forgotten how to drive without heel/toeing every single downshift regardless of whether I'm trying to go fast or not.

And yes I take corners much faster than I should.

buahahahahah, that made me laff. i dont own an r, id like one but fear of theft has kept me away from them ( i dont have a garage ) but i end up drifting in the 87 civic 4 door.

 

My CRX Si tries to kill me on a daily basis

 

I cant beat on my beater, its a mighty 1.0L citroen AX making a whopping 55bhp...but it also does 55mpg and i have spent a grand total of $50 (oil/filter/air filter) on it in the last year and it never misses a beat! I'll drive it til it dies and theres only 50k miles on the clock (11k put on by me in the last 12months)
